Embassy of Afghanistan in Warsaw Participated to the Cultural Program at the Fabulty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw

The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Warsaw, participated in a cultural program at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw.

This cultural program was attended by students, Vice Rector of Warsaw University, Dean and professors of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, some ambassadors and other diplomats of the Embassies in Warsaw from different countries. The first part of the program was begun by speech of the Vice-president of the University, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and some participating ambassadors.

H. E. Mr. Gul Hussain Ahmadi, the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Warsaw also had a speech in this cultural program. The Ambassador of Afghanistan appreciated the valuable support and cooperation of the University of Warsaw with the Afghan students and he also added: “I would like to take this opportunity to convey my congratulation and best wishes for the new year of 2019 and wish all the successes, for the beginning of the new academic semester, to all the students and authorities of the university of Warsaw. University of Warsaw is one of the prestigious and well-known universities, not only in Europe, but also to the world. University of Warsaw supported the people of Afghanistan for more than several decades. During these years, many Afghan students were graduated from this university, currently working in different fields, including in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan as afghan diplomats. As an example, late Mr. Mohammad Rahim Sherzoi, former deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan was one of the students who was graduated from the Law Faculty of Warsaw University. Finally I would like to inform that the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Warsaw is ready to cooperate, for the strengthening and expansion of the cultural relations, with the University of Warsaw, especially with the Faculty of Oriental Studies”.

During the second part of the program, the participating embassies exhibited their cultural booths which contained their cultural features, different photos of their cultural sights and as well as different types of the couisines from their countries. The cultural section of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Warsaw, also exhibited different aspects of Afghanistan culture, including information materials about Afghanistan, photos of different cultural and historical sights and landscapes, and as well as afghan food which highly appreciated by the students and other participants in this cultural program.
